Spook Central Halloween Treat - Ghostbusters Isolated Score

Over the years, we've gotten Elmer Bernstein's score for Ghostbusters (1984) on a few different albums, but never has Sony given us an Isolated Score track for the movie on any of the DVD, Blu-ray, or 4K UHD releases. Of course, the fans will pick up the slack when Sony drops it. In this case, Matt Ballard made an attempt at a "Music Only" track for the first movie. Read on to learn more about it...

Embedded below is a 150MB MP3 file containing only the music as it is used in the film. Yes, there are long periods of silence, as music isn't used for every minute of the film. Free free to get out your DVD, Blu-ray, 4K, or digital copy of the movie and sync it up to the audio file.


If you don't have your copy of the movie handy, Matt paired this audio track to a highly-compressed 1280x720 video that can be viewed on the Spook Central Patreon page. Matt's original 1280x720 .mov video file (7.8GB) is also available for a limited time.
