The Real Ghostbusters Naughtiness

The animators of The Real Ghostbusters were a little naughty. James Eatock pointed out some of the dirty little secrets they slipped into two episodes. Read on to find out more about it...

Simply put, the animators of The Real Ghostbusters love women's breasts. Ironically, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. (In case you weren't already aware that breast cancer exists.) James Eatock brought this to my attention in an e-mail dated January 27, 2010, which he wanted me to keep to myself, because he intended to publish a Cereal:Geek article about the naughty/questionable things animators slipped into cartoons. I don't think James ever wrote that article for Cereal:Geek magazine, so why not make sure everyone knows about the cheekiness? (Those of you with good long-term memories will remember that I originally posted this content to Spook Central's social media pages on October 16, 2015.)

"Banshee Bake a Cherry Pie?" features numerous badly-drawn shots of a poster featuring Shanna. In pretty much EVERY shot, they've drawn her with a hard nipple!

I guess it was a tit bit nipply when she posed for the photo.

In Peter's dream sequence in "The Devil To Pay", he is being carried by many native women. The woman at the back of the group is topless, though her nipples are covered up.


However, in a far shot, the woman at the front of the group turns to the side and shows her bare breasts!


That's National Geographic material, for sure.


When I wrote the "Ghostbusters Adult References" article back in 2010, I never thought there would be a situation where Ghostbusters itself would be the naughty one. Oh, and to no one's surprise, there's enough material in the past 15 years to do a "Part 2" for that article. If/when I'll write it, I don't know.
